Why OEF Exists
The American Dream, that working hard will bring financial stability for you and your family, feels out of reach for all but the lucky few. The cost of housing, health care, and caregiving keep rising and wages aren't keeping up. Instead of expanding America's middle class, today the economy feels rigged against it.
The Economic Opportunity Fund (OEF) was created to push back. We believe that a strong, resilient middle class is not just a nice-to-have—it is the absolute foundation of a healthy economy, strong democracy and a thriving society. We support advocates, workers, and policy experts dedicated to broadening economic opportunity for all Americans.
We cannot do this alone. It takes voices from every community to demand an economy that rewards work, not just wealth.
